About Us

Kevin has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2007. After retiring with 26 years of active duty service in the Army, Air Force, & US Public Health Service, Kevin opened his own practice, Magnolia Psychiatry. Kevin is board certified and licensed as a Psychiatric and Mental Health NP and as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner.  He also has a Master’s in Public Health. Kevin has a passion for helping people.  He sees persons throughout the lifespan from birth to end of lifespan for medical patients and 6 years old and up for psychiatry. He has extensive experience with women’s health, public health, and provides sensitive caring for patients identifying as LGBT-Q. His personal recreational interests include collecting art and antiques, and outdoor adventuring including Jeeping and camping, and building Legos (come see them at the Gosling location).

Tuoanh is at our Cypress location. She has been a nurse for 6 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and recently became board certified and licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University. She has experience in mental health nursing, medical surgical nursing and orthopedic/neurosurgery nursing. She has always had a passion for psychiatry and mental health and knew that is where her passion lies. She sees patients 6 years and older and provides compassionate care for patients in the LGBTQ community. She is bilingual in English and Vietnamese. Apart from Magnolia Psychiatry, her interests include traveling, music, thrifting and spending time with her 2 dogs, Nala and Willow.

Cathy is ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has nursing experience in dialysis, medical-surgical, psychiatric, and the ICU. Cathy responded to the call for help in NYC during their Covid crisis and recognized her desire to be in the mental health arena for the remainder of her career. Cathy recognizes the value of the patient-healthcare provider relationship and provides sincere, respectful patient-centered care to all. She sees patients 6 years of age and older.

Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, learning new crafts, ANYTHING OUTDOORS (fishing, hunting, hiking, boating), cooking, and working out when time allows.

Jessica is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the Spring/Gosling location. Before graduating with her master’s degree at Texas State University-Round Rock, she worked as a nurse for over 9 years in several specialties, including medical-surgical, home health, and psychiatric nursing, which has provided her opportunities to provide care for patients across the lifespan and with a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders. She is currently affiliated with the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Texas Nurse Practitioners. She is also a passionate mental health advocate and has previously volunteered at the Crisis Intervention of Houston and Walks for Mental Health Awareness. Through her warm and empathic approach, she strives to integrate each patient’s individual needs, strengths, and goals with evidence-based treatments toward a path of healing, improved well-being, and a more fulfilling life. Apart from Magnolia Psychiatry, she loves to explore new places, spend quality time with family and friends, lift weights, read, and learn. 

Jessica is at our Gosling clinic

Allyson is an experienced nurse with 8 years in the field. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Nazarene University and recently became board certified and licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. Throughout her nursing career, she has primarily worked as a pediatric travel nurse, which has allowed her to gain a wide range of experiences. It was during this time that she developed a passion for mental health. Allyson is known for her compassion and empathy toward each patient under her care.

In her free time, Allyson enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her French bulldog. She also loves to travel, work out, spend time in nature, and cook.

Jerilyn, or Jeri, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the Spring/Gosling location until the new location in San Antonio opens.  She is also board-certified in Emergency Nursing and has over 20 years of experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in crisis. Working in the Emergency Room, she has gained valuable experience and insight into the complexities of mental illness. Driven to expand her knowledge and skills, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in psychiatric-mental health from Walden University. During her graduate studies, she developed a deep understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment modalities, and a holistic approach to mental health care. 

Throughout her career, Jeri has remained committed to staying abreast of the latest in emergency and psychiatric research and evidence-based practice. She is a strong advocate for destigmatizing mental illness and promoting access to quality mental health care for all individuals. She is affiliated with the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and the National Alliance for Mental Illness. 

Outside her professional life, Jeri loves being by the water, traveling, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her great dane Cowboy. 

Jerilyn is at our Boerne clinic

Debra has over 15 years of experience as a nurse. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. She has a special place in her heart for the unique challenges at all stages of life. Her nursing career in pediatrics complements her ability to connect with children and adolescents. Her welcoming and calming presence will create a comfortable space for healing. She is invested in providing holistic care. Working together with the patient, she will create a treatment plan specific to each person's needs. This may include medication, psychotherapy, and alternative medicine. She treats children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. To relax and recharge, she enjoys books and reading, gardening, and special time with her family. 

Debra is currently primarily at our East Cypress location.  March 15th she will be moving to our new West Cypress location.

  Patricia Vasquez is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an advanced practice degree from Texas State University.  Patricia’s background includes a focus on women’s health. Patricia has a strong passion for helping individuals with their mental health needs. Her goal is to help individuals become the best version of themselves and ensure her patients feel comfortable and well informed throughout their experience.  Outside of work, Patricia enjoys spending time partaking in outdoor activities, traveling with family, and adores her four French bulldogs.

 Ashley is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She was an active member of the Texas A&M University’s Medical Society, and during her time there, she participated in a five-week study abroad internship in Tokyo, Japan. During a three week stay in Seoul, South Korea, Ashley visited a medical and cosmetic clinic. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Utica College, and after six years of clinical nursing experience, she attained her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Her experience includes forensic and medical surgical psychiatry. Ashley had a desire to practice in mental health during nursing school and utilizes her empathy, compassion, and respect for patients of all backgrounds. She treats patients 6 years and older. In her free time, she enjoys sketching, reading, and going to the movies. 

Ashley will be starting at Gosling then moving to our upcoming clinic in Cleveland

Marta is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career as a psychiatric nurse over nine years ago. While working as a Psychiatric nurse, she was able to familiarize herself with the mental health community, including crisis stabilization, substance abuse, and inpatient care. Her passion for caring for clients with mental health illnesses led her to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, and then a master’s degree, with a specialty in behavioral health from Walden University. She is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care. Her goal is to provide a warm, caring, and stigma-free environment, where she can educate her clients on their mental health concerns, and empower them to make informed decisions. 

Marta  will be starting March 24th at our clinic in Pearland

Katherine is a compassionate and dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 7 years of nursing experience, including 3 years specializing in psychiatric care. A graduate of University of Texas at Tyler, where She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MSN PMHNP). Her diverse career journey has given them experience in various healthcare settings, from labor and delivery to psychiatric nursing, allowing her to develop a well-rounded understanding of patient care. Katherine is passionate about helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives through personalized, evidence-based care. In their role at Magnolia Psychiatry, Katherine continues to use their expertise to provide holistic care while working collaboratively with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Outside of their professional life, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and escaping into a good book.
